 Twitter is a useful social networking tool for high school as it provides students a way to keep up with their friends, the news, and even their favorite celebrities. Since many events occur daily, students want to stay in touch with new information so that they can be informed about the world.

There are many advantages to using Twitter. These include:

 Twitter is easy to use,

       Twitter is easy to join.

  However, Twitter also has a few disadvantages. These include:

•       confusing interface,
•       twitter has a stream ( really confusing after following more than 100 people),
•       competition of followers ( people compete with each other to see how many followers they have)

     Currently , Twitter is popular because of people wanting to follow their favorite celebrities.

             Recently, Twitter hit a record amount of tweets for any political event(the presidential debate). This supports democracy since people can express their views about the political event. With the variety of opportunities that Twitter can bring, many users are attracted to the basis idea of this social networking site. In addition, businesses have begun using Twitter now since many of their customers use Twitter and it is important for businesses to connect with their clients.
